Escher Girls

Float like a butterfly, Sting like a WTF!?

This is a blog to archive and showcase the prevalence of certain ways women are depicted in illustrated pop media, specifically how women are posed, drawn, distorted, and/or sexualized out of context, often in ridiculous, impossible or disturbing ways that sacrifice storytelling.

Please enjoy this little lapse from my self-imposed Batgirl/Supergirl comics retirement to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas! (or Hanukah, or Kwanza, or Festivus, or whatever your winter holiday of choice is). Indulge in all the cookies you want. It is an intricate part of what this time of year is all about.
Last year’s Batgirl/Supergirl Christmas
*Fun Fact! My Killer Croc is totally inspired from my favorite Killer Croc comic of all times by the great Calamity Jon Morris.

And this is the “nice” post. :)  Last year, I posted Mike Maihack’s super cute Supergirl/Batgirl Christmas comic, so to follow that tradition, here’s this years. :)
I’m a giant Supergirl fan and this comic make me so happy. :)
Also, I have a gift for you guys tomorrow!  Something that a lot of people have been asking for… so check out Escher Girls tomorrow on Christmas day!
