This is a blog to archive and showcase the prevalence of certain ways women are depicted in illustrated pop media, specifically how women are posed, drawn, distorted, and/or sexualized out of context, often in ridiculous, impossible or disturbing ways that sacrifice storytelling.
See the "About" section in the sidebar for more details.

The picture that inspired this tumblr. This is an incredibly awkward fight. However, we do get an excellent shot of Supergirl’s thighs and breasts though, which somehow I suspect is the point. xD
Another Supergirl/Powergirl fight, another broken spine! This is even worse. xD It looks like her top and bottom came from 2 different pictures!
Look at Kara’s right hip… how is her leg bending like that!? (note to artists: Don’t draw a skirt hanging on the hips if you don’t know how to draw hips at 90 degrees)
Ouch. SPINES DON’T WORK THAT WAY! (neither do lesbians)
I.. just… what? Look at her silhouette… her right hip is dislocated and where is that skirt coming from!? It looks like she has a tail!

Dear Right Arm: Due to artistic need to show my body to the reader, you are being evicted. Please pack up your things by noon tomorrow and join Power Girl’s right calf.
Attack of the Clones! (Not exactly in the purview of this blog, but I just had to show how Ian Churchill can only draw one female face.)
Now Playing: Snake Man vs. the Plasticine Women
"Whereever we’re going, I hope our bodies are less bony on the other side."
Maybe she can’t move because she has a broken back and a dislocated hip?
