I love Young Justice, I really do, and for the most part, the covers have the girls in the same sort of action poses as the boys.
This here, though… I don’t know. I think Wonder Girl might need some medical attention.
I… whut… OW!!!
Excellent! Thank you holdthesebees! :D
Does anybody have the 2nd page? It’s from Wizard by the way (where else?)
When coming up with a gesture, I don’t use any reference, but once it comes time to finish the drawing, well, I’ll look at everything from Victoria’s Secret catalogs to Maxim to my shapely wife for input.
I love how he goes “from Victoria’s Secret catalogs to Maxim” as if he’s showing that he references from a wide variety of female body types, clothing and poses. This explains a lot. Also, I don’t know if that’s really a compliment to his wife if he honestly believes she looks like his drawings. I hope that her spine is okay at least. It doesn’t surprise me that he doesn’t reference to start the picture either.
His fear that Wonder Girl’s waist is too big for a girl explains a lot about his art too (and that he fears “man hands”).
sort of a re-draw of Rob Liefeld’s… art of Wonder Girl.
i don’t know much about her as a character other than basic things i skimmed over on wikipedia, but i just have problems against the fact that Rob Liefeld is a professional comics artist. actually, i have problems with a lot of other professional comics artists, too.
(i also couldn’t bring myself to draw that exact costume, lol. it just. looks tacky. i hope it wouldn’t be too out of character for her to wear jeans.)
First off, excellent job! :D That looks way way better.
Secondly, you accidentally hit on a costume she’s worn recently (without the golden boob pockets), so no, it is right ON character actually! :D
This is amazing and awesome! *double thumbs up*
