deannambrigman: I cleaned up the linework from my initial sketch and fixed some issues that I saw after looking at it with a fresh eye. This is based on the Catwoman 0 cover, and the blog Less Tits and Ass did a good breakdown and redraw of the original. I kept the original face and arm, although I adjusted them a bit. Very nice! :D

jonnycravat submitted: I know it’s a bit sloppy, but the felt the need to redraw this poor woman!! And yes, the pose is still a bit wonky, but at least her organs and spine have reappeared! I also gave her a bit more clothing. I imagine it’s hard to fight the forces of evil in just a bikini. 8l I think the reasoning is since she’s covered in fur, she’d be hot if she wore too much (but she needs to wear something, either for her own feelings of modesty, or for society’s) and I’m fine with that since Beast is in the same situation and he’s usually portrayed as just wearing a speedo type thing.

justthemiles submitted: I kinda liked Nikki Doyle from your previous post, especially because she so.. manly in a way. Her bodytype is just neat. Drawing her was great practice, to explore different bodytypes. I hope I did the character justice here. Still learning how to properly draw humans.

I saw this on your blog and thought, “What an interesting organism that must be!”

So I threw it up on Fire Alpaca in a different perspective.

I don’t know how much I should regret this.

 

I found it interesting that I got two redraws of this that did the opposite of the other, so I decided to put them together. :)

Like Glitchy, I had been thinking that this might have been the original shot and then later they’d added in the line to give her 2 buttcheeks.  I kept blocking it out with my finger and it looked right.  And as I said, I love the original, it looks very cute. :)

5 minute fix

I like the picture for the most part, except for those annoying little things that make Barbara all twisted up.  Thing is, 5 minutes with Photoshop and she’s no longer twisted.  I’m not even sure if it qualifies as a “redraw” since I did so little.

Sometimes I wonder if the original was intentional, or the product of editorial interference.

I moved her back leg down and rotated it a small amount, made it so her belt wasn’t, like, sinking into her flesh anymore, and changed her boot that’s nearest to us, because it didn’t make sense the way it was before. I also got rid of the boob outline (hello, we can already tell she has them!) and the other line that was on her stomach for no reason.

Here’s the redraw/hawkeye test for female pose I did after seeing this post. Not so good , but the guy’s fun to draw, and of course the obligatory duck face that comes with it, also the vintage hawkeye face was needed due to technical difficulties with the dress (why so short).Still check out The Hawkeye Initiative for their stuff on the subject.
